Heelfire: The Showcase information may be updated. Please check back here from time to time!
The best way to stay up to date with everything in real time is to join the Discord server. You'll receive an invite by email.
Details on forms, bio, music, guests and everything else is below but the dates are:
1 July - deadline for performer info
19 July - deadline for guest details and waivers
26 July - showcase date
The main Heelfire Showcase page contains general information about this stunning venue. It's the same one as the 2024 showcase.
Below are some pictures of the various areas.. Read the captions for more info!
The technical specs of the stage can be found on the theatre website. Please be aware that this link is a download of the PDF file. If you wish to view the page to ensure security, please follow this link instead. The dimensions are shown on the spec.
We'll be using two X-Pole Stage Lite. Please email me if you have an allergy to chrome to let me know as I'm on the lookout for a stainless steel pole but so far I've not managed to locate one. The poles this year will use the X-Pole weight tray attachment and each one will be weighed down with 3 x 10kg sandbags or weight plates.
The deadline for all needed performer information is 1 July. Please read the following sections for more information.
All music must be under 3.5 minutes to ensure there's time for all of the performances.
Explicit language is allowed and filthy lyrics fully expected but please show consideration with your choices.
If your music is likely to be offensive or could potentially be a trigger someone, should you use it for an event which aims to offer everyone a safe space? If your chosen song contains any racial language, please ensure it is bleeped out. This doesn't apply if you're a black performer.
The venue have confirmed they are unable to accept a Spotify playlist so please provide audio files in MP3 or MP4 format. The technician has confirmed the deadline for the music as 1 July so please email me your music, confirming your real name (if you've used this on your application), stage name and instagram handle just so I can triple check I assign the music to the correct person.
All performers need to complete a registration form by 1 July. The form is available to complete now at the link below. Waivers will made available nearer the time and must be submitted by 19 July.
I need to review all pole settings to work out the best order, collate and send bios to our compère and get the music over to the technician and I don't have a lot of spare time to do it so please don't make me chase you!
You bought two guests tickets as part of your performer pack so they need to pay you and then you can fill in the form to confirm their details. I decided against tickets for them this year. It was way too much additional admin and names were just ticked off a list anyway as BookWhen doesn't have QR or bar codes.
You can register one guest at a time or both. In case any guests drop out, I've included a field for you to replace a previously registered guest.
I need your photo ASAP so please email it to hello@heelfire.com including your instagram handle and your performer name as you want it to be written on the image. You'll be invited to collaborate so don't forget to hit the accept button unless you don't want it on your grid. I'll also share it in a story and tag you.
Please have your bio submitted by 1 July. Please submit this on the performer form so I can easily match up to all your other info. Email bios create a lot of additional work for me so I'd really appreciate you sticking to the form.
Due to venue licensing, if you plan to strip, you must wear pasties and a thong as minimum.
Human props must have a performer or spectator ticket.
Please confirm if you intend to use a messy prop so I can check with the venue that it's permitted and performances can be ordered to give plenty of time to clean up. This is especially important to ensure we run on time and keep other performers safe.
Showcases and performances can cause great anxiety but hopefully the chilled out nature of Heelfire and the encouragement to be yourself, go with the flow, maybe even just rock up with a freestyle has got you more laid back than any other performances.
If that's not the case, let me know and I'll do what I can to reassure you. As my own battle with performance nerves was part of the reason I started this little thing, I definitely understand and I know for some of you it's your first time, which can result in a lot of mixed feelings... but you got this!!
However, please do remember I have a full time job on top of teaching pole and running Heelfire so I need my down time too. I will always get back to you but not always immediately. Please treat me, all the other performers and helpers with kindness and respect and me and the team will do the same right back!

A huge draw of this venue was the fact they already had a set quiet space for people feeling overstimulated. Any who is nervous about performing or feels overwhelmed by crowds can escape.
Your performer ticket includes a seat. You're welcome to be seated in the audience before and after your performance but please ensure you remain aware of your performance time and ensure you have enough time to get ready and warm up safely.
I'll confirm location details nearer the time but it's likely to be a few different areas as the front three rows did not provide adequate visibility for the audience and therefore I'll need to put some audience members in the balcony. I'll confirm this once I've figured out the best approach.
A running order will be issued in advance of the day but is will be subject to change if necessary. Please check the final order on arrival and listen out for any updates from the helpers.
You'll be called to the backstage area prior to you're performance so please try and keep a close eye on the time and make sure you're ready and suitably warmed up.
Your performance will be photographed by Denyer.Pro. Cost of photo packages will be confirmed shortly.
Videographers are very expensive so this year, you'll need to ask your friends to film you. I will be arranging for people to capture bits for social media so if you don't know anyone, please get in touch and I'll see if I can help arrange for soneone to film your performance for you.
Please either return to the audience immediately after your performance so the backstage area is as uncrowded as possible.
Once your performance is completed, you're free to relax. Please feel free to have drinks if you're not driving but do remember that you'll be called back on stage for pictures at the end so keep it to a level where you can still safely get to the stage.
Hopefully goes without saying but I'm saying it anyway... please be aware that overly diva-ish and abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and performer spots will be cancelled if it's deemed necessary to protect other performers, helpers or myself. If abusive behaviour occurs on the day, you may be asked to leave the venue.
Get in touch if you have a question not covered by anything above, unless I've specifically said it's waiting on something else, in which case, please be patient with me. I'll update this page as soon as I can.
