Heelfire Club is a mini showcase for students of Momentum and Inspire. There are spectator and performer slots available. There is one space available for a student of any other studio. It's held at Momentum Pole and Aerial in Gloucester. A special guest usually joins us and provides workshops. These are open to anyone from any studio.
Grab a ticket from BookWhen. Ready to perform? Go for a performer slot. Not sure? Get a spectator ticket first so you can see what you're letting yourself in for. Fancy a workshop but don't know if it's for you? Look at the prerequisites on the BookWhen listing and if you're still not sure, contact the instructor or me - there's a contact button below.
You have a lot of options.:
If you come to my (Misty's) class, you're welcome to use any of my choreos. Worried someone else will use the same one? Just chop it up a bit, change the music and you have something new.
If you learned a choreo from another instructor, ask them if you can use it. Most Momentum instructors have already consented but it's polite to check
You can book a private lesson (or a few, if you need more time) with me or another instructor
You can freestyle - maybe not one for brand newbies but it's up to you! We'll support you no matter what
One really important thing...
You don't even need to dance a whole song. It's totally cool just to dip your toe!
Being "good" isn't what makes you worthy and no matter what your ability, I promise you there will be someone who wishes they could do what you do!
If you have the desire to share your movement - whether you've had one class or you've been dancing for 20 years - you deserve to have a moment in the spotlight. Here at Heelfire, it's an intimate environment to help support nervous performers take that step.
Some of the first time performers to grace the Heelfire stage have since gone on to perform in front of more than 100 people at the Heelfire Showcase and that could be your story too. Or maybe just the beginning.
